A warm, kind, and welcoming family in Washington, DC is seeking a professional Nanny/House Manager to become a valued teammate in their home. The mother is home full-time with the children and is very positive, polite, and collaborative in her parenting approach. They are looking for someone who can partner with her smoothly, support the household, and provide excellent care for their children.
Children: One 2-year-old daughter; baby boy due February
Home Size: 4,000 sq ft
Pets: One small friendly dog
Household Staff: Bi-weekly professional cleaner for deep cleaning
Responsibilities
Childcare - 80%
* Provide warm, attentive care for the family's 2-year-old daughter and, when appropriate, their newborn son.
* Engage the children in enriching, developmentally appropriate activities including Montessori-style play, crafts, reading, and outdoor exploration.
* Support the daughter's social/emotional needs-she may be shy initially, so patience and warmth are essential.
* Take the children to playgrounds, neighborhood outings, and local activities; maintain an active, hands-on presence.
* Assist with naps, meals/snacks, toy cleanup, and resetting all child-related spaces.
* Safely drive the children to activities and appointments.
Household Management - 20%

* Coordinate with household vendors, supervise services, and accept deliveries.
* Help with small dog care, including feeding and occasional walks.
