San Fernando Valley area (Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura counties)

A non‑profit dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and young adults to live the life they choose.

Responsibilities

Support adults with disabilities and their families as a bilingual & Spanish‑speaking Family Support Specialist for Coordinated Family Support (CFS) and Independent Living Services (ILS) teams.

Conduct weekly home visits to assess needs, develop and implement long‑term strategies and short‑term objectives.

Teach independent living skills (e.g., cooking, grocery shopping, budgeting, scheduling medical appointments) to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes.

Advocate for families within community systems, assist with accessing resources and support services.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Human Services or ≥ 3 years of experience in human services.

Fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing).

Comfortable conducting home visits and able to design and execute customized program curricula.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with individuals with disabilities, family members, social workers, and system staff.

Knowledge of the Regional Center, community resources, and support services is desired.

Valid California driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, ≥ 5 years of driving experience.

Schedule & Pay Up to 37.5 hours per week. Typical schedule: Monday‑Friday 10:00 am‑6:30 pm, but flexible to accommodate client availability (evenings and weekends).

Pay:

$25.25 per hour (range $23.99–$26.51).
