Duties The Phlebotomist II is responsible for collecting venous and capillary blood specimens from patients in a safe, accurate manner according to established lab policies and practices. The role also involves maintaining inventory, dispatch scheduling, and Epic registration. The Phlebotomist demonstrates H3W behaviors with a focus on excellent patient care, exceptional patience, and quality service and outcomes.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
1 year phlebotomy experience
Knowledge of venipuncture techniques
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
Good keyboarding skills and ability to learn laboratory applications and HHC computer systems
Continuous improvement mindset
Ability to handle different patient populations, including difficult patients
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to operate required lab equipment, including pneumatic tube
