Position Summary This is a time limited position located at the State Veterans Home in Jackson, MS. A seasoned Professional Registered Nurse will serve as a member of the medical treatment team and be accountable for overseeing more complex or sensitive care, participating as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing direct care in a patient care setting, or providing nursing and health services in a public health program. The nurse may be responsible for mentoring or directing the work of lower‑level employees and may serve as a shift supervisor.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Oversee complex or sensitive care and mentor lower‑level staff.
Serve as a shift supervisor when required.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a cohesive team.
Preferred Qualifications
State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
