Summary:
Provides direct or indirect patient care in accordance with treatment plans determined or delegated by a licensed nurse or RN. Assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the patient care unit, and is flexible to meet patient and unit needs.
Responsibilities:
Patient care & service: provide direct patient care and indirect activities to facilitate unit functioning; provide safe and competent care for patients with related to nutrition, skin integrity, elimination & hygiene needs; take patient vital signs; ensure equipment and all facilities are clean and stocked with appropriate supplies.
Admission & transfer: assist with admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
Required Qualifications:
None
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of Nursing Fundamentals, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, experience as a medical assistant/technician in a health‑related facility or participation in a Patient Care Technician training program.
Associate’s degree preferred.
Customer service and communication skills preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work: Exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and >10 pounds constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
Pay Range:
$18.10–$19.75 per hour.
