Patient Care Tech Night Shift
Location: Specialists Hospital Shreveport, Shreveport, LA. Compensation: $40,000 - $52,300.
Position Overview Work with the medical staff and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of settings. This is a night shift position, working 12-hour shifts.
Essentials Job Functions
Assist with patient treatments as directed by nursing and physician staff
Assist with patient care planning and assessment
Assist with recording vitals, height, weight, input/output
Assist with patient nutrition: delivery of food trays, feeding as needed, additional nourishment
Assist with patient mobility: turning, positioning, ambulation, transferring to wheelchair
Assist with patient discharge
Assist with patient ADL’s (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Assist with inventory: stocking needed supplies
Assist with computer order entry as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
0–2 years of related experience
CNA required
BLS certified
Other Skills & Abilities
Use interpersonal communication techniques
Requires standing, walking and running
Organization and time management without direct order
Requires pulling, lifting, turning, and assisting patients
Present professional, caring, courteous image
Knowledge of team building and dynamics
