Job Summary & Qualifications The Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery Center is an outpatient department accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Our patient population includes surgical patients and individuals seeking Medical Weight Loss Management.
A candidate must be knowledgeable of general nutrition and nutritional therapy for life cycle stages, disease states, and bariatric surgery patients. The role involves educating patients pre‑and post‑surgery and ensuring comprehension.
Responsibilities
Program Oversight: Assess nutritional status and plan therapy; coordinate Service Line Improvement projects; facilitate social media and support group meetings; review and update education materials.
Leadership: Monitor industry changes, develop training, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, manage priorities.
Patient Care: Conduct education, nutritional evaluation/assessment, ongoing intervention; communicate with surgeons; coordinate patient support initiatives. Clinic hours Mon‑Fri 8:30‑4:30, occasional outside hours for community events.
Qualifications
Registered Dietitian (RD); Licensed Dietitian (LD).
Minimum 1–3 years related experience.
Schedule
Monday‑Friday (Days)
Full‑Time – 40 hours weekly
Outpatient clinic environment
Clinic open hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am‑4:30pm. Position occasionally requires availability outside clinic hours for community events and outreach such as support group meetings.
Location & Compensation Gainesville, FL – $66,000.00‑$87,000.00
