How You’ll Contribute

Perform lab draws, EKGs, take vital signs, place patients on monitors, and transport patients throughout the hospital.

Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury and patient’s history from available sources.

Administer emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation from the scene to the receiving medical facility.

Contact medical personnel, report and record observations, and follow directives.

Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and clean the ambulance as necessary.

Interview patients and/or caregivers to collect information regarding current home medications.

Use appropriate equipment/accessories to gather information from outside sources about home medications.

Contact and communicate with other care providers to facilitate processing of home medication information.

What We’re Looking For Applicants should have a current state paramedic licence and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:

Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited paramedic education program.

Minimum of 2 years of field experience.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of hire.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) strongly preferred.

Handle With Care (HWC) within 90 days of hire.

One year of experience preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
