Role Overview
The Quality Lab Technician supports product quality by testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This role focuses on accurate testing, clear documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and quality testing on materials and production batches Follow established procedures and testing instructions
Operate laboratory equipment including GC, FTIR, pH meter, moisture meter, color instruments, balances, and mixers Maintain calibration records, retention samples, and testing documentation Prepare Certificates of Analysis for finished products
Label, track, and manage product samples and containers
Enter test data accurately into spreadsheets and quality systems
Communicate product status across shifts
Assist with investigations related to quality concerns or complaints
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory workspace
Follow safety, chemical handling, and waste management guidelines
Perform additional duties as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience or relevant color matching experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable working with chemicals
Basic math skills including percentages, decimals, and unit conversions
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelors degree in chemistry or a related field
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Laboratory and production-based work environment
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Occasional overtime or flexible scheduling as needed
No travel required
Compensation
Starting pay: $21.00 per hour
Higher pay may be considered based on experience
