Ennis Sanitation - Maintenance Rep - Part-Time
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire store, inside and out, and make customers feel welcome.
Maintain store cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization in sanitation tasks.
Cleans/picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the store.
Use the H-E-B chemical program; correctly organize/maintain stock in the maintenance room.
Wash windows and mirrors throughout the store.
Empty/clean trash receptacles throughout the shift.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards/SOPs.
Communicate maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to store leadership.
Perform minor maintenance repairs using simple hand tools.
Maintain ceiling air vents; replace light bulbs.
Work with and around customers; attend to their needs; assist customers in locating products.
Perform Customer Service Assistant (CSA) duties when needed.
What is your background?
Minimum age 18 (mandatory).
Completion of Company Orientation, Basics of Safety training, and in-store orientation.
Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Maintenance Representative?
Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
Customer service skills.
Sacking skills.
Ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done.
Ability to prioritize competing tasks.
Can you...
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Constantly walk, reach at waist, grasp.
Frequently push/pull with arms.
Occasionally stand, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, climb ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, and perform fine motor movements.
Occasionally be exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise, and wet conditions.
Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs.
Understand general lifting duration guidelines (Constantly: 5.5+ hours/8-hour day; Frequently: 2.5–5.5 hours/8-hour day; Occasionally: 0–2.5 hours/8-hour day).
Never lift beyond safe lifting limits; if an item is too heavy, break it down or ask for assistance from another Partner or a manager.
