Summary

Under general supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing, as part of a team, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performed all assigned manual labor tasks efficiently and safely

Maintained a clean, organized, and safe work area

Read and accurately used a tape measure

Read and interpreted blueprints, layouts, and work orders

Communicated effectively with coworkers and supervisors

Operated hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools

Built angle walls, shear walls, end walls, sidewalls, and interior walls according to layout specifications

Installed and secured sidewalls and end walls; strapped walls to floors and marked pier locations

Covered interior and exterior walls; routed and cut openings and wall materials

Insulated walls, applied adhesive, and completed layout work prior to wall covering

Constructed porch components including headers, posts, and rails

Built specialty structures such as snack bar islands and shipping walls

Assisted with start-of-line operations, including preparing cut lists for the department

Performed ongoing production-line repairs to maintain workflow efficiency

Assisted all departments as needed to support overall production goals

Competencies

Qualifications

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing desired.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
