Shift Supervisor (Galveston Bay Refinery)
The Galveston Bay refinery in Texas City, TX, is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shift operations, maintain safety and environmental excellence, and support production and reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities
Creates a culture of ownership, sets clear expectations, and holds people accountable for operational excellence.
Maintains a safety and environmental culture by modeling appropriate behaviors and ensuring safe work practices.
Leads the shift in conducting operations, including shift relief/start‑of‑shift meetings, job planning, equipment preparation, work permitting, and Joint Job Site Visit.
Implements production plans efficiently and effectively, communicates unit status, and optimizes unit performance with coordination across departments.
Supports unit reliability goals through proactive equipment care, condition monitoring, and maintenance readiness.
Responds to abnormal situations, troubleshoots issues, and ensures clear communication to affected units and operations leadership.
Fosters a high‑performance culture through training, coaching, mentoring, and manages operator scheduling.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license required.
At least 4 years of relevant experience.
Operations supervisory experience is a plus.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
