Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)
Federal Express Corporation is seeking a part‑time Material Handler to operate equipment for moving packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs, build and break down pallets, and liaise with ULD repair vendors.
Job Duties
Provide safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs.
Assist in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
Serve as liaison between the company and ULD repair vendors as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Lifts 50 lbs. without assistance from ground to chest level and maneuvers packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance.
Walks, stands, bends, and squats for designated work hours.
Maneuvers packages above shoulder level and in enclosed spaces; stacks packages above one’s head if required.
Works in all weather conditions and climbs stairs and ladders if required.
Completes all basic and re‑currency training.
Communicates timely and effectively in a noisy operational environment.
Job Conditions
Non‑covered safety‑sensitive position; drug screen required.
Must be in a constant state of alertness and work safely.
Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate motorized conveyances.
Pay Range $18.79 per hour
Additional Posting Information Part‑time AM and PM shift. Drug screen required.
