RAYUS Radiology
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. This temporary (PRN) position involves variable hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Screen patients before exam for precautions or contradictions, using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
Explain and prepare patients for sonography imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately.
Perform routine and advanced sonography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
Adjust sonography scan parameters correctly and as needed.
Follow physicians' orders precisely, comply with safety regulations, and accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including sanitizing equipment, to promote safety for patients and team members.
Maintain the American College of Radiology (ACR) toolkit and accreditation requirements.
Sonography Department Support
Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
Assist with the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
Other Duties as Assigned
Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.
