The Pediatric Acute unit cares for patients ranging from a few days old to 18 years of age. In this unit, you will see a vast variety of medical diagnoses, including but not limited to pediatric trauma, post‑operative surgeries, oncology, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, neurological conditions, and gastroenterological illnesses.

Responsibilities
Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions
Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care
Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up along the continuum of care
Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise
Graduate from an accredited nursing program is required, including AA, ACEN, or NLN CNEA. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Obtains and maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
