Position Summary
Registered Nurse - Burn Care Unit

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC)
– responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients within a burn care setting.

Responsibilities
Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to acutely and critically ill burn patients.
Apply scientific nursing principles to monitor patients and administer complex medication protocols.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Valid Nevada State Board of Nursing license as a Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) at hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Certification (TNCC), and Advanced Burn Life Support certification within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Experience
One year of critical care and burn care experience.
At least two years of recent ICU nursing experience within the last five years.
At least one year of recent wound and/or burn care experience within the last five years.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Standard clinical setting; requires mobility, stamina to stand or walk for extended periods, ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, and good vision and hearing for patient care and communication.
