Responsibilities The Admissions Clinician provides telephonic and in‑person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.

Qualifications

Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required, preferably in an inpatient setting

Registered Nurse or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field required

BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred

Must be at least 21 years of age

Successfully complete a drug test

Successfully pass national background check

Strong computer skills

Excellent communication skills

Strong leadership skills

Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior

About Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient and residential treatment services for ages 5-17. The facility offers a structured and supportive treatment environment that promotes self‑acceptance and helps stabilize patients suffering from acute psychiatric illness. Its multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, licensed therapists and highly specialized nurses who collaborate to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Cedar Ridge includes a 116‑bed acute psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment center on a wooded campus with a pond, school, outdoor courtyard and playground.

Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany is a 56‑bed psychiatric hospital offering adult behavioral health programs and treatment services. The team provides crisis stabilization and medication management for patients with disorders such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, paranoia and schizophrenia. The facility serves patients with severe mental illness who are over 18 and whose condition impacts their ability to function.
