The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes. Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention. Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner. Responds promptly to patient requests and strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures; translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding. Teaches patients/families/caregivers about non-medicinal follow-up measures such as a healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and other lifestyle changes; prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management. Qualifications
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse license (RN). Emergency Room experience required. About the Company
