Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as an eBilling Specialist in its Buffalo office. The eBilling Specialist will assist with overall coordination, execution, and upkeep of legal billing setups and maintain eBilling workflow.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Pursue expert knowledge of various eBilling vendors
Knowledge of timekeepers, rates, WIP fees, and disbursements
Knowledge and understanding of client guidelines
Investigate and research problems and work to resolve in a timely manner
Prioritize and organize numerous email requests
Responsible for follow up and completion of assigned tasks
Assist with special projects and deadlines as needed
Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, and other office staff regarding problematic issues
Effectively collaborate with the Billing Process team to foster a professional and positive team culture while addressing the overall needs of the department
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all billing processes and applications to become a subject matter expert regarding the firm's programs and assigned ebilling vendors
Perform effectively in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
Demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work
Perform administrative work, including but not limited to, outlook, document management, copier, fax and postage machine
Assist with department training when needed
Thoroughly and timely address inquiries while communicating effectively
Contribute by recommending actions that would allow for more effective processes in the department
Additional duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of billing, legal, or accounting experience
Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Applications
Strong organizational, attention to detail, and time management skills
Self-motivated and takes ownership of assigned work.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to compile, analyze, and interpret data
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Regularly required to observe and assess data and documents, in printed form and on computer screens
May be requested to work beyond normal work hours and weekends for special projects
Works well in a team environment
Ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Willingness and ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities
Commitment to follow-up and issue resolution
Competence in using math and performing calculations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regularly required to physically operate routine office equipment such as telephones, computers, printers, copiers, etc.
Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time.
May be required to move objects up to 25 lbs. from one level to another from time to time
Must have reliable means of transportation to work location
Repetitive movement of hands and fingers – typing and/or writing
Benefits The hourly range for this position is $20.00 to $26.00. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also offers bonuses, and a full benefits package.
