Position Summary Stansfeld Scott is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join our team in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. This is a
full‑time, on‑site role
with broad ownership of core accounting functions and meaningful exposure to pricing, inventory, and international operations. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting commercial decision‑making. This position works closely with internal teams, regional colleagues, and international supply partners, requiring strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
Monitor and support accounts payable and accounts receivable operations
Analyze product pricing and develop pricing structures aligned with margin objectives and A&P budget guidelines
Oversee inventory accounting, claims processing, and related reconciliations
Administer and track Advertising & Promotional (A&P) budgets
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
Support cross‑functional initiatives related to finance, operations, and commercial strategy
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4+ years of progressive accounting experience (Senior Accountant or similar role preferred)
Strong understanding of month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proactive, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑focused with a hands‑on approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with SAGE or similar ERP systems preferred
Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a plus
