CLIENT & ROLE SNAPSHOT
I’m partnered with a rapidly growing Fintech client who provides
financial software and spend‑management solutions
for specialized industries. We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive
Senior Accountant
to help build and scale the organization’s accounting foundation. You’ll partner directly with the CFO to bring accounting functions in‑house, establish strong internal controls, prepare for audit, and support financial reporting that drives strategic decision‑making.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Transition bookkeeping and accounting activities from an outsourced firm to internal operations.
Develop and strengthen internal controls for accounting, cash management, and credit management.
Build GAAP‑compliant financial statements and support monthly close activities.
Prepare for and coordinate the company’s first external audit.
Support investor and lender reporting requirements.
Assist with budgeting and collaborate with department leaders on financial insights.
Manage accounting entries in QuickBooks and provide feedback on internal expense tools.
Produce financial analyses and reporting for leadership and the Board.
Oversee payroll, expense reimbursements, and vendor contract reviews.
Support tax filings and compliance.
Take on additional responsibilities in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related -
CPA required.
3+ years of accounting experience (public or private, mix).
Prior exposure to startups ( IDEAL STRONG PREFERENCE ), fintech, credit cards, or healthtech is desired.
Experience leading audits and building accounting processes.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls and proficiency with financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, proactive, solutions‑focused and can take ownership.
