We have an industry leading client seeking an experienced

Manufacturing Controller

to lead their financial department. The Controller will oversee all financial functions, including maintaining accurate financial records, payroll, taxes, insurance, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, audits and compliance. This role will be instrumental in optimizing all aspects of the business, driving efficiency, and supporting strategic growth. The Controller is part of our Executive Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership:

Oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and compliance.

Strategic Planning:

Provide financial insights and analysis to the CEO and management team to support business decisions and long‑term planning.

Treasury Management:

Cash management, foreign currency, funding and financing and debt compliance.

Payroll Management:

Supervise and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Inventory & Cost Optimization:

Analyze and optimize inventory levels, cost structures, and operational efficiencies to maximize profitability.

Capital Expenditure Analysis:

Evaluate potential investments in long‑term assets (like property, plant, and equipment – PP&E) to determine their viability and potential return on investment.

Reporting & Compliance:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies. Prepare quarterly board reporting.

Audit & Tax Coordination:

Work with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance and efficient financial operations.

Team Management:

Lead and develop a small financial team (two additional employees), fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment.

ERP & Systems Management:

Oversee financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and process optimization.

International Operations Support:

Support global financial integration and compliance.

ISO 9001 Internal Audit Team Member

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (CPA or CMA, MBA preferred).

Experience:

7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior finance role.

ESOP Experience:

Familiarity with employee stock ownership plans is beneficial but not required.

Analytical Skills:

Strong ability to analyze financial data to optimize inventory, costs, and EBITDA.

ERP & Technology:

Experience with financial and inventory management software along with MS Office.

Leadership:

Proven ability to manage and mentor a small team effectively.

International Experience:

Experience working with European subsidiaries is an advantage.
