Base pay range $26.42/hr - $27.00/hr
Job Title: AML/BSA Specialist Location: Tempe, AZ 85288
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days out of office.
Parking: attached garage, $56/month.
Work schedule: 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, 1 hour lunch, 2 15-minute breaks.
Duration: 12‑month contract with possibility of extension.
Interviews will be conducted via Teams, one interview with 2‑3 panel members.
Description Assists in implementing an effective risk management framework. Monitors systems, databases, information, processes or procedures. Identifies and escalates matters requiring attention to the appropriate area. Performs work on projects and initiatives, assists in the assessment and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Coordinates the collection and/or compilation of data, compiles and provides reports. May assist in report development and data analysis. Provides guidance, support, and recommendations to Lines of Business and assists in implementing Risk/Audit/Compliance initiatives. Very phone‑heavy role starting with inbound calls, about 20‑30 calls a day.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Typically more than one year of applicable experience
Preferred Skills / Experience
Intermediate understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems and associated risks/controls
Intermediate understanding of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends
Well‑developed analytical skills
Ability to research and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Effective presentation and relationship building skills
Strong PC skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheet, databases, and presentations
Effective verbal and written communication skills
A background in a call center or customer‑facing role is preferred. Candidates should be well‑versed in client interaction as this is a phone‑based role within an Inbound Calls team. Customer service experience is highly applicable.
