Wealth Planning Associate , you’ll play an integral role in the success of our branch and the growth of our clients’ financial futures. This position is primarily focused on financial planning, including analysis, preparation, and support throughout the financial planning process, with additional responsibilities of providing client service and administrative support. The role works closely with our Financial Advisors on a daily basis and plays an important part in delivering thoughtful, personalized advice.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial plans, including cash flow, retirement, insurance, and investment analyses
Gather, organize, and analyze client financial data
Build and update financial planning models and projections using planning software
Prepare draft recommendations and scenario analyses for advisor review
Support the development of goal‑based plans tailored to client objectives and risk tolerance
Review client plans periodically and assist with updates based on life changes or market conditions
Client Service Responsibilities
Serve as a primary support contact for client service requests, escalating issues as needed
Assist with onboarding new clients, including paperwork, account setup, and data collection
Prepare materials for client meetings, including agendas, reports, and follow‑up summaries
Respond to routine client inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Track and follow up on outstanding client items to ensure timely completion
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date client records in CRM and portfolio management systems
Support advisors with meeting follow‑up, action items, and implementation tasks
Assist with processing service requests such as address changes, beneficiary updates, and account maintenance
Help ensure client service activities comply with firm policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Detail‑oriented, motivated, and thrives in a collaborative work environment.
Prior office or customer service experience preferred
Ability to obtain all required registrations and professional designations within a reasonable timeframe after hire.
Excellent client service and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Team‑oriented mindset with high ethical standards
Compensation The compensation package for this position consists of a base salary, (with eligibility for an annual bonus/commissions if applicable) as well as eligibility to participate in all company benefits offered by Janney to full‑time employees including health, dental, medical coverage, disability income protection, life insurance, PTO/vacation, holidays, and 401(k). The salary range for this position will be $60,000 to $80,000. Total compensation packages at Janney are based on experience, skills, credentials, and geographical location of each specific candidate.
