Job Description Summary This role works directly with Account Managers in our sales organization to win complex omni‑channel payment processing deals. It is a forward‑deployed consultative role, where you will spend most of your time with prospects and clients, leading technical discovery sessions, designing solutions, and driving deals to close. You will report to the Senior Partners or Director of PSP Commercial Growth. Success is measured by competitive win rates, deal velocity, and overall PSP revenue growth.
Essential Responsibilities3>
Drive revenue growth and global market expansion by identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, channels, and opportunities.
Lead the negotiation with external partners and engage cross‑functional support colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of solutions for large complex partnerships.
Shape long‑term commercial strategy by assessing market dynamics, competitive positioning, and partnership performance to prioritize high‑impact growth opportunities.
Establish scalable partnership frameworks and operating models that streamline execution, enhance collaboration across teams, and ensure consistent delivery of partner value.
Align product and business levers (such as pricing and FX) to maximize revenue and market expansion opportunities.
Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Design, and Research teams to translate business priorities into scalable solutions—ensuring the technical design and implementation align with growth, commercial, and customer experience objectives.
Represent the end customer on an ongoing basis and use this knowledge to drive effective prioritization and decision‑making.
Collaborate and influence product outcomes in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, Risk, Legal, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Finance, and Banking Partners.
Expected Qualifications
5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Responsibilities And Preferred Qualifications
Design and define the portfolio strategy for an identified country, supporting the execution of local product priorities, and analyzing and interpreting product performance.
Implement hands‑on execution coordination of local and global cross‑functional initiatives.
Manage process escalations to remove obstacles for the strategy execution while proposing and supporting change implementation to strategy.
Collaborate and define priorities based on global commercial product strategy.
Research new opportunities and establish and negotiate new partnerships.
Engage with ongoing partners regularly, improving relationships and operational efficiencies.
Direct, set, and define customized market/regional specific product and technology strategies.
Manage stakeholder relationships and oversee the delivery of key product and platform infrastructures.
Set strategic direction and roadmap to enhance product experience and business metrics.
Lead technical discovery with prospect engineering and payments teams.
Design PSP solutions tailored to each client’s needs and translate technical requirements into specific configurations, pricing structures, and implementation approaches.
Partner with Account Managers throughout the sales cycle, ensuring clear handoffs and shared accountability.
Position PayPal’s PSP capabilities against competitors, building compelling differentiation for each deal.
Compress deal cycles through specialized expertise—targeting 45–60 days for complex PSP deals.
Provide market feedback to Product, surfacing gaps, validating roadmap priorities, and informing competitive positioning.
Compensation The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $100,500 to $173,250. Actual compensation includes an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
