Overview Provide administrative office support to the Office of Admission.

Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Prepare and maintain transfer applicant records, files, and databases, some of which may be confidential. (25%)

Assist with transfer electronic decision release and campus-wide transfer applicant reporting. (25%) \

Responsible for the supervision, coordination, and training of student workers. Coordinate schedules, provide training, verify and submit time sheets, and serve as a resource with procedural questions. (20%)

Answer phones, greet and direct visitors to appropriate areas or people. Provide coverage of the office reception area when required. (10%)

MARGINAL DUTIES:

Assist with the testing and reviewing of both first-year application and transfer application platforms. (5%)

Perform intermediate and advanced computer functions including managing databases, creating, analyzing, integrating and importing linked spreadsheets, creating mail, envelopes and table merges, creating and editing captions, adding graphics, editing images, footnotes, indices, tables of content, creating master documents and reports using information from several sources. (5%)

May identify and make recommendations for additional or modified departmental systems. With approval, may design and implement new or modified systems. (5%)

May serve as internal resource on department administrative questions. (5%)

Perform all other duties as assigned. (5%)

Education and Experience EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School education or equivalent. Three to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of word processing and database systems required. Excellent organizational and communications skills also required. Ability to work under deadline pressure and to prioritize assignments while juggling multiple tasks.
