Construction Project Manager

A well-established Brooklyn based general contractor is looking for a Project Manager to participate in the oversight of several residential projects in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably significant experience with residential renovations, as well as restaurant/hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Participate in the planning and implementation of the project from pre‑construction to completion.

Manage a team of project personnel, engineers, field staff and sub‑contractors.

Act as the liaison with project ownership, consultants and subcontractors.

Coordinate the work of the contractors, providing progress reports to leadership.

Assist with management of RFP, RFI, submittals, requisitions and change orders.

Ensure the project remains on budget.

Review inspector daily reports and logs.

Resolve any issues with project superintendents and subcontractors.

Conduct weekly project meetings, manage project budgets and monitor quality assurance.

Review and implement safe work procedures.

Build and manage schedule of project activities and crew.

Ensure the project is compliant and violation free.

Monitor and forecast costs for the project.

Provide the necessary leadership to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the project.

Work with design teams to resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise, and to ensure project quality.

Identify any area of risk and develop a strategy to prevent going over budget, project schedule and overall risk mitigation.

Manage permits, sign‑offs, TCO and CO.

Requirements:

5+ years as a Project Manager within the construction industry.

BA in Construction Management or equivalent.

Background in design or architecture is a plus.

Proven experience in managing multiple teams.

Ability to assess and problem‑solve.

Strong leadership skills.

Willingness to travel as needed.

Salary (Commensurate with experience level):

$140,000 - 160,000 plus bonus

The above salary range represents Advice's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base compensation range at the time of posting and is not reflective of the total compensation package, which may also include benefits, equity and other non‑cash incentives.
