Job Summary Plan, organize, direct and control aspects of research projects as part of natural historystudies in ophthalmic diseases. Interact with clinical study sites and sponsors regarding organization of the reading center in close collaboration with the UREAD Director and the UREAD Program Manager, to ensure that sponsor’s goals and expectations are met.

Responsibilities
Interact with clinical study sites and the sponsors regarding organization ofreading center services
Overview and perform study startup and site certification activities
Serve as liaison between UREAD and study sites
Serve as liaison with study sponsor and CRO as directed
Overview data transfers to the study sponsor
Attend conference calls with study sponsors
Perform routine correspondence with sites, sponsors, and CROs
Confirm receipt of all image materials received at UREAD , including technical evaluation of imaging data
Respond to data queries as appropriate
Prepare materials for grading, arbitration, quality assurance and quality control
Overview and assignment of grading tasks to readers
Perform data entry, filing, and other clerical duties
Assist UREAD staff members as necessary to meet the needs of the various studies
Attend UREAD group meetings as needed
Prepare SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures)
Deputy of the UREAD Program Manager, assisting the UREAD Program Manager and UREAD Director in budget preparation, training needs and generaloperations as well as administrative management of the Reading Center

Minimum Qualifications EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT :
1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Manager, Research Management:
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences Preferences include experience with human subjects research, excellent communication skills, oral and written. Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software programs and processes quickly.
Additional Information The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS"). Eligible new hires with prior URS service, may elect to enroll in URS if they make the election before they become eligible for retirement (usually the first day of work).
