Senior Pharmacy Technician at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. Full-Time/Variable Shift The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). Has advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas in the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or GED

Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire. Or

Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.

Minimum of 2 years ( > 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification - OR - 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification

Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program

Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances)

Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state
