Position Summary The
Controller
will lead Odorzx Inc.’s accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and effective financial processes across the business. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who can oversee day-to-day accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and team management while partnering closely with senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
(balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure timely and accurate closing processes.
Manage tax compliance and reporting obligations.
Accounting Operations
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls.
Coordinate external audits and support audit requests.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and key KPIs.
Provide actionable insights to drive business decisions.
Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Promote process improvements and training to elevate team performance.
Strategic Partnership
Collaborate with senior executives on financial planning, long-term strategy, and operational efficiency.
Support strategic initiatives with financial analysis and modeling.
Qualifications Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CPA or CMA strongly preferred .
Master’s degree or advanced coursework a plus.
Experience
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Proven leadership experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and team management.
Experience implementing and refining accounting systems and controls.
Skills
Deep knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
Advanced Excel and financial ERP system proficiency.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
