Senior Data Engineer
Description
Seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to build scalable cloud migration solutions for a leading Fortune 500 facilities services company. The Senior Data Engineer will develop and implement a migration solution from SQL Server to Snowflake through an Azure environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring accuracy, reliability, and automation of the process.
Responsibilities Development of SSIS packages supporting full and incremental loads. Configure ODBC connections for SQL Server and Snowflake. Implement error handling, logging, and retry logic. Schedule and automate package execution via SQL Server Agent. Perform automated and manual data validation. Document logic and contribute to architecture diagrams and flow charts.
Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in ETL development. Strong SQL Server knowledge, including legacy versions. Strong SSIS development experience. Experience with Snowflake and ODBC connectivity. Experience and familiarity with Azure environments. Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-scale data migration projects. Knowledge of incremental load strategies. Certifications: Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified Azure Data Fundamentals
