The Senior Manager of Estimating is responsible for overseeing estimating operations by ensuring accurate capacity planning, workflow optimization, and continuous skill development. This role involves coordinating across regional and national teams to balance workloads, identify training needs, and leverage data analytics for strategic decision‑making. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Capacity & Workflow Management
Coordinate with regional teams to assess estimating needs and available capacity. Direct workflow across regions to balance workloads and meet project deadlines.
Training & Development
Develop and recommend continuing education programs to enhance estimator knowledge and proficiency.
Data Review & Resource Allocation
Review and analyze data in Power BI to ensure equitable distribution of work and identify needs. Provide insight to leadership for resource optimization and capacity planning.
Collaboration & Communication
Serve as a liaison between regional teams and leadership to ensure alignment of goals and priorities. Communicate updates, best practices, and performance metrics effectively across regions.
Nature and rewards
Central point of coordination for regional estimating teams ensuring consistency across all regions. Influences strategic decisions related to resource allocation, capacity planning and process improvement.
