Travel Center Assistant Manager
Pilot Flying J is an industryleading network of travel centers with over 750 retail and fueling locations across 44 states and six Canadian provinces. We seek an experienced Retail Assistant Manager to lead our high‑volume retail facilities, driving operational excellence, sales growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Ensure customer expectations are met and exceed.
Conduct meetings with subordinate employees to set goals, review performance and provide coaching.
Maintain effective vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
Drive sales, manage team members, track inventory, and provide outstanding customer service.
Perform P&L analysis and develop business plans to achieve sales and profit objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum 2‑3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery or similar service industry with responsibility for financial results.
Proven management proficiency in high‑volume retail environments with P&L accountability.
Ability to create and maintain a customer‑focused culture.
Demonstrated integrity and accountability at the managerial level, along with strong team leadership skills.
Capacity to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays.
Pay Rate Starting between: $46,400.00 - $67,235.00 / year
