Training Notice:
Candidates must be available for several months of mandatory training at the home office in Hondo, TX before transitioning to their permanent district location.
Position:
We are seeking one qualified individual to join our team as either a Meter Technician I or a Senior Meter Technician. This position is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of the Cooperative's electric meters to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
Which Level Are You?
Meter Technician I:
Best for those with a High School Diploma and 2+ years of utility experience looking to develop technical skills in meter calibration and wiring.
Senior Meter Technician:
Best for those with 6+ years of experience or technical schooling. Requires advanced knowledge of revenue/billing meters, system programming, and the ability to mentor other technicians.
General Requirements
Strong basic math and electrical knowledge.
Ability to read schematics and wiring layouts.
Valid Texas Driver's License and clean driving record.
Ability to perform heavy‑level physical work and travel within our 17‑county territory.
Willingness to work overtime during emergencies.

Salary:
$28.94 – $43.00 per hour.
