Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, it’s the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience that provides an immersive, high‑intensity, one‑hour workout that’s as effective as it is fun. Our fitness classes alternate between weights and running on a treadmill. Each day focuses on a different muscle group to achieve real results and prevent injuries. Our program is designed to tone muscle and maximize fat loss while spiking the metabolism for up to 48 hours following the class.

About the Role Client Specialists are the first line of contact at all Barry’s studios. They are well‑versed in all aspects of our business, complying with company policies, procedures, and directives. Client Specialists are key to developing lasting client relationships through superior hospitality and assisting clients with class selections, bookings, and questions; maintaining a clean studio; fueling the Fuel Bar; and merchandise purchases. They are excellent communicators and positive brand ambassadors, conveying memorable experiences for our clients. What You’ll Do Front Desk Responsibilities
Client Experience: Understanding of hospitality principles and processes and ability to execute as part of the Barry’s Client Experience
Support the client experience with hospitality and studio amenities to build personalized experiences and positively impact both sales and service
Be an effective brand ambassador, ensuring clients are warmly welcomed, assisted accordingly, and have a memorable experience commensurate with the Barry’s brand
Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships: develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with clients and staff, and maintain them over time
Communicating with supervisors and peers: provide information to supervisors and co‑workers by telephone, in written form, e‑mail, text, or in person in a timely and efficient manner
Deliver first‑class client experience at all times
Ensure a clean and welcoming atmosphere: assist in studio cleaning, restocking, and upkeep as needed
Guide clients with regards to the latest studio promotions, membership discounts, and/or special events
Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail operations
Participate in all relevant training and development programs and meetings as directed by Operations leaders
Have flexibility with schedule, able to work weekends, holidays, morning or night shifts, and adhere to the work schedule and meeting minimum availability requirements
Fuel Bar Responsibilities
Deliver quality protein smoothies and customer service in the Fuel Bar
Handle pre‑orders and orders on the spot, custom to each client’s needs
Assist clients with questions and product selection
Complete client’s orders in a timely manner utilizing a POS transaction
Maintain Fuel Bar department areas clean and sanitized
Follow departmental procedures for safety, proper food handling, and sanitation according to local, state, and federal health code regulations
Properly rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers and department tables, paying special attention to spoiling goods according to company policy
Prepare various Fuel Bar goods following company recipes
Facility Maintenance
Prepare studio spaces before, after, and in‑between classes by cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming floors, and wiping mirrors
Support cleaning and maintenance of locker rooms to brand standard as directed
Conduct regular deep cleaning, organization, and service of common areas, including the lobby space, Fuel Bar, Red Room/Lift/Ride spaces, retail shelves, locker rooms, hallways, and storage areas
Conduct small studio repairs when appropriate
Laundry services, including collecting, washing, and folding towels
Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists
Customer Service
Ensure all existing and new clients are provided with the highest level of hospitality
Maintain client database and utilize information to increase client contact
Attend social functions within the community to generate new business, invite current and prospective clients to in‑studio events, and reach out through curated clienteling tools
Qualifications
Strong hospitality skills and alignment with Barry’s Mission, Vision and Values
Ability to work either a full‑time or part‑time schedule
Friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy social interaction
Exhibits enthusiasm for the studio and for the job
Must be a patient, courteous listener, able to show empathy
Responding to client requests with a can‑do attitude
Cooperative manner with a focus on team culture
Ability to prioritize and work within a fast‑paced environment
Exceptional cleaning skills and a clear understanding of what constitutes a sanitary environment
Have an eye for detail and care for the studio’s appearance and cleanliness
Work as a cohesive team with all Barry’s staff members to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain a professional appearance and behavior
Demonstrate excellent communication skills
Candidates must be at least 18 years or older to apply
The Pay Range For This Role Is 16.50 – 16.50 USD per hour (New York)
