Position Overview Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) is looking for a Craft Recruiter to join our Craft Recruiting team! As a Craft Recruiter you will be a face to our business in supporting KOS’s recruiting initiatives to develop a network of the best talent with in-demand skills and experiences. Must be able to successfully recruit and screen talent, and fill a variety of craft roles (Welders, Electricians, Crane Operators, Pipe Welders etc.) against aggressive timelines.

District Overview Kiewit Offshore Services, a district of Kiewit Corporation that builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550‑acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1,400 craft employees who work in the yard year‑round. The projects built by Kiewit Offshore Services require significant equipment planning, detailed cost estimates and schedules, a commitment to safety by all employees, and are truly unforgettable. Location This position is based out of our Ingleside, TX construction yard/office.

Responsibilities

Agility in sourcing strategies for International Craft workforce

Collaborates with Operations leaders to determine workforce planning needs and expectations

Working knowledge of contracts, scheduling and craft compensation rates to project manpower requirements for each site

Possesses advanced knowledge of current and upcoming construction projects

Continuous improvement and management of Talent Acquisition systems and processes

Coaches hiring managers and estimators on supply and demand of Craft workforce

Analyzes ROI of tools and vendors

Accountable for overall Craft recruiting effectiveness

Authority to negotiate and approve contracts with third‑party labor vendors

Broad knowledge of union and non‑union Craft management practices

Trains new team members and hiring managers on proper utilization and management of requisitions within ATS and CRM

Maintains knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance across the business

Proactively seeks outreach opportunities to develop pipeline

Human Resources knowledge such as EEOC, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interview best practices

Develops and implements local recruiting strategies across TX and the US as a whole

Conducts in‑depth research on wages, housing and fringe benefits as needed

Qualifications

Ideally 2+ years of experience recruiting craft professionals (Welders, Electricians, Crane Operators, Pipe Welders etc.) in the construction industry.

Must be bilingual.

Ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers and the recruiting team.

Demonstrated energy, enthusiasm and initiative

Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to work individually and in a team environment

Ability to recruit, screen, interview, and hire top talent into our business

Emotional Intelligence – Ability to manage emotions in positive ways to communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges, and defuse conflicts

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Outstanding customer service and problem‑solving skills

Management of the team and process of Recruiting, screening, and interviewing candidates and present the best talent to our hiring managers for consideration in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment

Utilize SuccessFactors applicant tracking system, LinkedIn, social media, job boards such as Dice and Careerbuilder, Boolean searches, and professional / networking groups

Participate in Annual Review Process, Business Planning, Executing Corporate Policies
