JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The College of Health and Human Development/Unit of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management seeks part-time teaching assistants. TAs are undergraduate students who assist instructors and students in the teaching‑learning enterprise. TAs are assigned to a particular course and work closely with instructors to provide challenging and meaningful learning experiences for enrolled students.
Job Duties
Assist with RPTM 390 teaching needs
Communicate effectively with supervising instructor, teaching staff, and enrolled students
Prepare for specific teaching‑ and learning‑related assignments
Help with in‑class activities, group projects, specialized software, or virtual labs
Requirements, Qualifications, and/or Competencies
Familiarity with RPTM 390
Schedule Variable – talk with the teacher in charge of the course to determine work hours/needs.
Compensation The starting rate for this job is $15/hr.
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
