Join the Saint Louis Zoo Food Service team as a 15‑year‑old entry‑level employee. You will be an integral part of the Zoo’s Food Service department, working across multiple outlets and assisting the team with a variety of responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Assist in all food‑service duties as needed, including operating a cash register and taking orders.
Stock, deliver, and organize the food and beverage storage areas.
Help prepare food, maintain cleanliness of the unit, and work the front line to greet visitors.
Assist the manager with additional tasks as assigned.
Interact positively with Zoo visitors, ensuring a welcoming experience.
Follow zoo uniform standards and observe food safety and sanitation fundamentals.
Qualifications
Prior customer‑service experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to take direction from leaders and work independently when applicable.
Flexible work hours; schedules may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work on the Zoo grounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
All candidates must submit to a criminal background check.
