Responsibilities
Perform clinical assessment and identify patient needs.
Document, prepare, and complete patient Plan of Care; track progress and revise as needed.
Meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
Plan and provide appropriate treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders based on medical referral and therapy assessment.
Assist and instruct patients and families in transfer techniques and equipment use (walkers, wheelchairs, canes, etc.).
Promote company mission and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-approved program.
Current Texas State License as a Physical Therapist.
Current Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation.
One year of experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting; pediatric experience required.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of durable medical equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
Ability to work in a patient's home in various conditions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Proof of current CPR certification.
Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing; prolonged standing and walking required.
Ability to work under stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient/family needs.
