Per Diem Radiology Technologist
for a Monday – Friday schedule!
Responsibilities
Perform the described duties in the primary work area
Operate X‑ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated body portions as specified by a physician; adjust equipment for exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with radiation safety procedures
Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment; explain X‑ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective devices as required; report changes in patient condition to attending medical staff
Monitor accessory equipment and assist the attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies
Record the amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required
Consult with the lead X‑ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality
Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain a clean, orderly work area
Education, training, and experience requirements
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology
Minimum 2 years of prior management experience preferred
AART Registered and CPR Current
Knowledge of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations
Independent decision‑making skills
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
Professional verbal and non‑verbal communication skills
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of orthopedic experience is required for this position
