What We're Looking For
Self‑motivated RN who thrives in a fast‑paced, telemetry‑focused environment
Previous experience in a telemetry or medical‑surgical unit preferred
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Louisiana RN license required
Completion of Basic EKG Course within 6 months of hire
Strong critical thinking, communication, and telemetry monitoring skills
Desire to specialize in stroke care; training provided for TJC Primary Stroke Certification

What You Will Do: Deliver exceptional care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and medical monitoring in our dynamic Med Telemetry Unit.
Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
Respond promptly to changes and alarms, recognizing medical emergencies and arrhythmias
Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate interdisciplinary care
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in line with evidence‑based practices
Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and post‑discharge care
Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes
Participate in stroke‑specific care protocols as part of a TJC‑certified Stroke Unit
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams to ensure quality outcomes
