Position Summary Provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
Essential Functions / Patient Populations Served
Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
Protected Health Information Accessed
Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
Exposure and Physical Requirements
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
Education & Licensure
Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Handle with Care required.
