Position Highlights
The Facilities Maintenance Lead is a trade‑specific expert related to complex facility systems and building equipment. This position assists the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance with monitoring production, planning, coordinating, and inspecting the work of staff. The Lead also helps identify and locate appropriate parts for the Supervisor to order, trains staff, identifies areas for improvement, coordinates projects, occasionally covers shifts, and participates in evaluation and assessment of staff.

This position will assist the Supervisor Facilities Maintenance with monitoring production, planning, coordinating and inspecting the work of staff. In addition, the Facilities Lead will help identify and locate appropriate parts for the Supervisor to order. Other duties include training, identifying areas of improvement, coordinating and facilitating projects, covering shifts, and participating in evaluation and assessment of staff.
Responsibilities
Assist the Facilities Shift Supervisor with monitoring, production, planning, coordinating, training, and inspecting the work performed by staff.
Perform quality assurance checks on work performed by staff and contractors.
Identify and locate appropriate parts for the supervisor to order.
Perform and/or direct prescribed preventative maintenance on facility‑related systems or building components or maintenance activities as assigned.
Credentials and Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required.
Valid Driver’s License required; must obtain Florida license within 6 months of employment.
Minimum of five (5) years of verified experience in a Facilities Operations/Maintenance role in a Hospital/Healthcare environment required.

Certified completion of a Vocational Technical program and/or apprenticeship in one of the building trades (Carpenter, Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Plant Operator, etc.) and a minimum of three (3) years of Hospital/Healthcare Facilities experience.
