Navajo Preference Employment Act

Position Summary
This position provides specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical services on an inpatient and outpatient basis in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, General and Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Urology, Optometry/Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Ear/Nose/Throat. The primary role is the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, responsible for operating radiologic X‑ray equipment and processing radiographic images. Qualifications
Education : Completed radiology training from an AMA approved school of Radiology. Experience : At least 3 years of experience in the radiology field and expertise in operating teleradiology and fax equipment. License/Certification : Current valid Arizona State License in Radiology (R) and ARRT Certification in Radiology (R). Must maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Other Skills and Abilities
Strong working relationships with others. High ethical standards and no history of complaints. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Strong organizational skills. Excellent interview performance and job interview success. Positive background and reference checks. Successful completion of fingerprint clearance, physical examinations, and other screenings. Submission of all required employment documents without false or misleading information. Mental and Physical Effort
Physical : Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally over 100 lbs, push/pull up to 100 lbs. Sensory requirements include vision and hearing. Requires manual dexterity and keyboard use. Mental : Requires high concentration, flexibility, patience, decision making under pressure, managing stressful situations, and working alone or in shifts. Environmental : Possible exposure to hazardous equipment, infectious diseases, chemical agents, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, and loud noises. Responsibilities
Independently perform radiographic examinations and train other technologists. Schedule patients, adjust for critical procedures, and manage patient transfers and positioning. Ensure patient protection, monitor vital signs, and assist in emergency first aid. Maintain daily logs, enter exams into RIS, and handle paperwork. Perform quality control activities and recognize equipment malfunctions. Practice sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination. Maintain patient records, file folders, and quality assurance records. May be required to take call as part of rotation. Responsibly enter electronic health record data. Ensure appropriate PPE usage and safe donning/doffing. Complete task training for cleaning and decontamination processes. Perform other duties as assigned. Seniority Level
