3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Tate's Bake Shop is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join the QA team on a per diem basis. As a QA Technician, you will work in the lab to test Tate's Cookies for different analytical attributes and will also be responsible for calibrating and verifying lab equipment data to ensure the cookies are maintaining their high food safety and quality standards. The technician will also be responsible for comparing the data versus the product specification and communicating the results. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are important in maintaining accurate, organized documentation. You would maintain a strong line of communication with the Quality Compliance Manager and Production to ensure irregularities are reported diligently. What can you expect on the job?

Monitor product quality using thermometers, pH meters, hunter (colorimeter), weighing scale, and other equipment. Ensure product meets specifications, document deviations and corrections. Report out-of-spec trends to supervisors/managers. Conduct daily equipment verification checks. Lead initial troubleshooting and resolution of equipment malfunctions. Weekly and monthly foreign matter inspections. Maintain clean and functional equipment. Follow proper chemical and machine handling techniques. Follow proper documentation guidelines. Maintain records and follow retention policies. Report quality and safety infringements to QA Manager. Assist in retrieving documents for audits. Trending analytical data. Environmental swabbing. Other related duties as assigned. What will make you successful in the role?

Constantly move about the laboratory and production plant. Constantly position self to obtain samples and clean equipment. Constantly communicate with team members. Constantly follow written and verbal instructions. Remain standing for prolonged periods of time. Frequently move equipment, samples, and boxes of documents up to 50lbs. Frequent exposure to variety of cleaning and processing chemicals. What should you bring?

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role required. What will your schedule look like?

Per Diem Monday through Sunday on schedule agreed upon with manager. Must be flexible to work various shifts. Compensation and Benefits
