Clinical Supervisor | Senior Therapist (Remote – IL)
Sohail Counseling & Care is a small, heart‑led group practice offering culturally aware, trauma‑informed virtual therapy to modern adults and couples. We care deeply about relationships, nuance, and the very real ways culture, identity, and lived experience shape how people show up – in therapy and at work.
We’re building something thoughtful and sustainable here. And we’re looking for a fully licensed therapist who wants to do meaningful clinical work and step into a supportive supervisory role with care, warmth, and intention.
What might fit if you…
Love therapy and also enjoy mentoring, reflecting, and supporting other clinicians
Believe supervision should feel grounding, not intimidating
Care about cultural context, systems, and the “why” behind what clients bring in
Want flexibility, support, and a team that treats you like a human
What you’ll do
See individual and/or couples clients via secure telehealth
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to associate‑level or early‑career clinicians (as your license allows)
Help supervisees think through complex clinical, cultural, and ethical moments
Keep documentation timely and thoughtful (not robotic)
Join optional team consult spaces if and when they’re supportive for you
Coordinate as needed with our admin and billing team – they’ve got your back!
What we’re looking for
Active full license (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD/PhD) in Illinois
Meets state requirements to provide clinical supervision (preferred)
2+ years post‑licensure experience
A trauma‑informed, culturally responsive approach to care
Someone who holds complexity with curiosity, humility, and steadiness
Ability to commit to at least 15 client sessions per week (supervision included in overall workload)
What we value around here
Thoughtful work with identity, family systems, and intergenerational patterns
Awareness of how race, culture, religion, migration, gender, and systems show up in the room
Supervision that’s relational and collaborative, not rigid or fear‑based
Boundaries, sustainability, and rest (for real, not just in theory)
A team culture where clinicians feel trusted, supported, and respected
The good stuff
W‑2 employment with stability
Health insurance options
Paid parental leave and PTO
CEU reimbursement and license renewal support
Fully remote work with flexible scheduling
Full admin and billing support (you focus on clinical work)
Optional peer consultation and supervisor connection spaces
A warm, values‑driven team that actually cares about how you’re doing
Compensation 60/40 session split
Most clinicians earn approximately $67–$75 per session , depending on experience and session rate.
You’ll also receive a supervisory stipend per supervisee, paid in addition to your clinical earnings.
Stipend amount varies based on supervision responsibilities and number of supervisees supported.
We aim for compensation that feels fair, transparent, and reflective of the full scope of your work.
Schedule Flexible and self‑directed. You choose your hours.
Evening or weekend availability is helpful, but not required.
How to apply Send us your resume along with a short note about what drew you to this role, your approach to supervision, and how your clinical and lived experiences shape the way you work.
