Airgas is hiring for a Shipping/Receiving position in Brush Prairie, WA. Pay Range 26-31/hr + Pay for Performance Bonus

Responsibilities

To coordinate the shipping and receiving of internal and external customer's cylinders. Track private cylinders to assure the accuracy of fills and returns. Handle all cylinder needs in a manner that serves the best interest of both customer and company. Ensure great customer service and strive to be an industry leader by performing the following: Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment. Coordinate with plant manager in assigning production needs based on scheduled delivery needs as well as shipping schedules. Work closely with distribution to anticipate customer needs in new business and growth. Inform operations manager of all shortages. Arrange for carriers shipping. Inform sales, customer service and customers of any route rescheduling. Work with management on identifying opportunities and improving productivity of routes. Identify cylinders for proper placement and markings. Conduct visual safety inspection of cylinders. Place cylinders that fail inspection into quarantine according to operating procedures. Update SAP system with order changes and maintain accuracy of cylinder inventory. Produce reports from SAP system on a regular basis. Follow Hazardous shipping requirements based on location and procedures. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Required Length and Type of Experience:

One year experience working in a similar fill plant is preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) : Computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets) Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications. Ability to work independently in a team atmosphere, and under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customers' needs and management expectations. Must be able to work in a drug free environment.
