PART-TIME
weekday daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with no evenings or overnight shifts.
In this role, you will help individuals build daily living skills, gain confidence, and stay connected to their community. Activities may include going to the store, visiting the library, attending appointments, or taking part in state-funded programs. Driving is a regular part of this job, and you will use your own vehicle to transport individuals to and from activities. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
You will support independence, encourage personal choice, and treat each person with respect and dignity. This job is a good fit for someone who is patient, reliable, and enjoys helping others. Experience is helpful, but not required as training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
Transport individuals into the community to help them achieve their personal and developmental goals.
Encourage and assist individuals in participating in a variety of activities based on their interests.
Provide instruction and guidance in self-help skills, social skills, and community integration.
Support individuals in making informed choices, trying new experiences, developing meaningful relationships, and becoming self-advocates.
Empowerment & Advocacy
Promote independence by exploring new ideas and opportunities for skill-building.
Empower individuals to make decisions and uphold their rights and dignity.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Personal vehicle required for regular transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
Current and valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
Current auto liability insurance required
Ability to pass background and required state checks
Ability to understand and communicate in basic English required
Medication Administration, First Aid, and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Prior experience preferred but we will train the right candidates!
