as an Ambulatory Service Representative (ASR) III at the Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic, a leading health care organization with more than 900 medical providers across 65 specialties.
Over 40 locations in Houston offer a nationally recognized, coordinated and accountable care environment.
The ASR III performs detailed job responsibilities including financial review, patient service representation, PBX operation, appointment clerking, and medical records handling.
Other duties may be assigned by the site manager to support clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
2+ years of medical office experience covering face‑to‑face customer service, cash handling, patient registration, appointment scheduling, medical billing and multi‑line telephone operation; or 1+ year KSC Experience as an Ambulatory Service Representative II
EMR experience
Solid computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web/Internet
Familiarity with medical terminology
Proven excellent customer service skills in person and over the telephone
Fluent in English, verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a physician, hospital or medical office setting
2+ years of insurance/managed care experience, including verification and understanding of HMO, PPO, EPO, and other plan differences
Epic experience
Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills (oral and written)
Demonstrated customer service skills, independent judgment, and creativity when resolving issues
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personal/health information
Capability to handle challenging situations and balance multiple priorities
Interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external contacts in a courteous, patient‑focused manner
Pay and Benefits Hourly pay ranges from $20.38 to $36.44 based on full‑time employment.
