Job Summary
Performs a variety of technician functions required for the Cath Lab, Special Procedures, and Neuro Intervention under the direction of the Cardiologist, Radiologist, Neurologist and the supervision of the Manager – Vascular Imaging. Requires independent judgment, integrity, and initiative. Under the direction of a physician trained in ultrasound and the department manager, performs cardiac, peripheral vascular, and neuointerventional ultrasound procedures that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Job Requirements
Education
Must be licensed in Radiologic Technology and registered in ARRT.
Experience
Registry eligible or enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program. Must meet ARDMS or CCI requirements to obtain registry eligible status, typically 2 years experience or a graduate from an accredited school of technology.
Physical
(Safety sensitive position)
Exposure to radiological hazards at occupational levels; normal hospital environment. Close eye work, hearing within normal range, oral communication. Operates x‑ray equipment, computer, life support, equipment, film processing equipment. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors and must be able to distinguish smells, temperatures by touch and proximity, and visually discern color changes in low light. Can lift up to 100 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 350 lbs; frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
